Set Defaults



Set Defaults include Hourly Services and Miscellaneous Fees.  Once created, these preset services and/or fees can be pulled into your invoices.  Set Defaults allow you to create invoices quickly by selecting the Hours, Fees or a combination of both as needed.


To create your Set Defaults, click on Invoices --> Set Defaults.  Click Add New Service to create your Hourly Service or Miscellaneous Fee.  Enter the following:


Hourly Service

  • Service Name
  • Brief Service Description
  • Default Hourly Rate
  • If taxable, check the Taxable box.  BillingOrchard will calculate the tax when the invoice is created. The tax rate will be pulled from the Tax Rate setting in the Settings section.


Miscellaneous Fee

  • Item Name
  • Item Description
  • Default Rate
  • If taxable, check the Taxable box.  BillingOrchard will calculate the tax when the invoice is created. The tax rate will be pulled from the Tax Rate setting in the Settings section.


Once your Hourly Service or Miscellaneous Fee has been entered, click Add Fee or Add Hourly to confirm.  Once confirmed, the Hourly Service or Miscellaneous Fee will be available in the listing below the Add New Service section.  You can edit your existing Hourly Services or Miscellaneous Fees by clicking on the green pencil or permanently delete them by clicking on the red X.
